Angora
Lookout
Angora Lookout is on a dirt road off Tahoe Mountain Road. Visitors can
see a wonderful view of the Tahoe Basin at this spot.
Baldwin Estate
Dextra Baldwin built Baldwin Estate in 1921. The estate now houses the
Tallac and Baldwin Museum, and the Washoe Exhibit. The Baldwin Estate's
cabins contain art exhibits and workshops during the summer. The site
is in South Lake Tahoe.

Fishing Charters
Blue
Ribbon Fishing Charters have offered professional fishing tours on Lake
Tahoe for more than 30 years. The company is insured and licensed by the
California Department of Fish and Game and its captain is licensed by
the U.S. Coast Guard. Blue Ribbon Fishing Charters also has open and private
morning trips from March through November. Bait, tackle, and beverages
are included in the rates. Workers will even clean and fillet your catch
for free. Blue Ribbon Fishing Charters is in South Lake Tahoe.

Sightseeing Carriage Rides
Get a glimpse of Lake Tahoe aboard a European carriage. At Borges Family
Sightseeing Carriage Rides, visitors are taken through a neighborhood,
onto a sandy beach, and along Lake Tahoe. Tourists should take their cameras.

Cave Rock
Cave Rock is part of an old volcano and is in South Lake Tahoe. The site
received its name from the small caves that were made by Lake Tahoe's
waves during the ice age. The Washoe Indians also used to have spiritual
ceremonies here.

Snowmobile Tours
Located
in North Lake Tahoe, Lake Tahoe Snowmobile Tours offers 100-mile tours
through the forest. The company is one of the premier snowmobile tours
in the area, and has been providing trips since 1985. Lake Tahoe Snowmobile
Tours even provides guests with the proper clothing for the journey, including
snowsuits, snow boots, and helmets. All of these are given free of charge.
Tours are given three times a day and are for guests of all ages.
Olympic Winter
Games Museum
Memorabilia from the 1960 Winter Olympics are on display here. The 1960
Winter Olympics was the largest to date with 1,000 athletes competing
from 34 nations. It was also the first nationally televised Olympics and
the first to provide athletes with accommodations in the Olympic Village.
The museum is located in Squaw Valley.
Pioneer Monument
The Pioneer Monument is located in Donner Memorial State Park and is near
the Emigrant Trail Museum. The monument is in honor of those who made
the difficult trip to reach California in the 1840s. Guided and self-guided
hikes are available through different trails near the monument. Pioneer
Monument is located in Truckee.
Pope Estate
Pope Estate, built in 1894, is the oldest, largest, and most elaborate
estate in the region. Special programs and guided tours are available
here. The Great Gatsby Festival in South Lake Tahoe is held here every
August.
